The StarForge Circuit

A star came apart here. Nobody cleaned it up. They built a sport in the wreckage.

Two-minute matches · No grind · Early Access

New Every rock, hull and wreck has been redrawn to the same rules, so the arena finally looks like one place. Being nearly dead is a heartbeat now, and it quickens the closer you get.

Fresh in 2.0

What’s new

A new look, and rewards that look as rare as they are. Every menu has been gone over, the game opens on a new title screen, and the things you earn finally show their rarity at a glance.

  • Rarer rewards look rarer. Engine trails come out of every engine and grow a glow, a white-hot core and sparks as they get rarer. Hull skins catch the light in a second colour, every badge has its own icon, and the rarest callsigns shimmer.
  • Kill banners. Equip one in the Hangar and your kills land on it in the kill feed, for everyone in the match to see. Four of them are on the Pilot Pass track.
  • Menus you can read. Cleaner buttons and windows, a pause menu where Settings can be reached mid-match, and a results screen that always shows up after your first match.
  • Invite codes work between regions, a room you host is named after you, and starting a team mode short-handed fills the gaps with bots instead of starting lopsided.
  • Pilots on 2.0 play with other pilots on 2.0. Update to find your friends.

Where you fly

Nobody built this arena

When the star went, it left its wreckage behind: rock, hull plate, and station blocks still holding their shape in slow orbits nobody bothered to chart. The Circuit found a use for that. Clamp a containment ring around a few hundred metres of the debris, put six hulls inside it, and sell tickets. The cover was already there. Nobody had to build a thing.

The fall zone

The Circuit has never built an arena. It finds a patch of the fall zone with good bones (enough rock to hide behind, enough open lane to run) and draws a line around it. Every asteroid you take cover behind was there long before anyone thought to race through it.

The ring

That line is a containment ring, and it is the only rule the arena enforces by force. Reach it and you are turned back. Everything inside it is whatever the star happened to leave, which is why no two promoters' arenas read quite the same and why the good ones are worth travelling for.

The recovery net

Every ring holds a pattern of each hull inside it. Lose yours and the net reassembles you at a node a few seconds later, minus whatever you were carrying. Pilots take fights out here they would never take in open space, and the Circuit knows exactly what it is selling. Ashfall is the one format run with the net switched off.

Six hulls, six tricks

Pick your ship

Six chassis classes are cleared to fly, and the rulebook is blunt about it: you fly them as they were built. No tuning, no upgrades, nothing bought between rounds. A rookie's Interceptor and a champion's Interceptor are the same ship down to the bolt, and the Circuit means for the difference to be the pilot.
